I have loads of unfinished posts on everything from the Twilight phenomenon to stupid objections to gay marriage that I will finally get round to finishing as soon as possible, but in the meantime here’s a reminder that the second Feminist Open Forum meeting takes place on Thursday evening, December 4th, at 7.30 in the Central Hotel, Dublin.
Oh, and if you need cheering up on this icy December day just watch these highlights of the South Park episode The Startling. And just wait for the arrival of the killer bees! I’ve seen the whole episode, and the invasion of the “furry death” was already hilarious, but the arrival of the other invaders turned this episode into pretty much the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I was actually crying with laughter by the end (you can find the whole episode online too, if you hunt around).

Guinea-saurus-rex.
Aw. Cute.
I think the Guinea-saurus Rex might be my favourite. Although the first sighting of the bees made me laugh so much I fell off the couch – I was expecting it to just be real bees, so the awesome sight of a guinea-pig in a bee suit took me completely by surprise!
I suspect the whole episode was made purely because Trey Parker and Matt Stone had a friend with a guinea pig who discovered you could buy outfits for guinea pigs – it’s basically just an excuse to show the most ridiculous costumes. There’s a final scene – sadly not included in that highlights reel – which is clearly there for no other reason than to showcase yet another preposterous guinea-pig ensemble – which somehow makes it even funnier…
Yay, see you there Penny!
